In Chinese, kung fu (功夫, Kung meaning "work" or "achievement" and either Fu or fu, a particle or suffix that can mean "intensity") is the term used widely in Southern China, Hong Kong, South East Asia and most of the oversea Chinese communities while Wushu is the term used normally in Mainland China only. The meaning of Kung fu is not totally same as Wushu. Kung fu is a technical fighting skill. Bruce Lee's Jeet Kun Do is a typical example.
